A 25 km drive on the Jaipur-Bikaner highway (NH-11) from Sikar takes you to the magnificent campus of the Institute. It is spread over an area of over 250 acres, especially developed for the purpose. Laboratories
Computer Labs :
The Institute has first-rate computer laboratories i.e CompLab1, CompLab2 CompLab3, CompLab4, CompLab5, CompLab6 and Networking Lab. The Computer laboratories have a large number of P-4 IBM machines with high-resolution colour monitors, scanners, printers, CD writers, CISCO switches, Hubs and UPS. Each laboratory is networked through an appropriate IBM server. The Centre is equipped with 4Mbps leased line based Internet facility.The laboratories are equipped with IBM Netfinity, IBM RS 6000 and IBM X-220, IBM X-235 running Microsoft NT Server, Red Hat Linux and AIX 4.3.3 with 330 workstations running Microsoft Window 2000, XP and NT 4.0.

Electronics Labs :
The existing Electronics based laboratories - Digital electronics Lab, Analog Electronics, Microprocessor Communication System, Microwave Lab , Digital Signal Processing, Industrial Electronics, Digital Hardware Design Lab, Computer Aided Design Laboratory, VLSI Lab and Electronics Workshop have been equipped lavishly. The microprocessor lab has 22 number of microprocessor 8085 kits and 22 number of microprocessor 8086 kits. In addition, it has the required number of peripherals and interfacing cards and a number of PCs.

Mechnical & Electrical Workshop :
Although we have as yet no full fledged BE course in this field yet the department has fully equipped workshop, labs and managed by highly motivated and well-qualified faculty. The Workshop has a lathe machine, shaper machine, arc welding machine, drilling machines, an assortment of tools like files, punches, hammers etc.

Physics,Chemistry Labs:
The labs are fully equipped with best quality equipment and trained assistants to help and assist the students in their learning process.

Library
MITS has three separate enriched, well-stocked modern libraries for FET , FMS and FASCL to cater the needs of all the streems being taught.

The libraries have been using software namely "Alice for wondows" with a package to automate the function and services. Both the libraries are member of Developing Library Network (DELNET). With this the libraries can access the database of seven hundred thirty four national and international libraries.One can look 35,10,946 records, which include database of books,theses and dissertations and articles of various periodicals. DELNET also provides Inter Library Loan(ILL) facility for books and articles of periodicals at a fast pace.The library facilities are made available upto 11.00 P.M.


FET-Library
It has a good collection of more than 20000 books , 1500 CDs and 200 video cassetes so as to provide sufficient consulting material for the faculty as well as the students.It has a variety of material, which includes course books along with the books for the overall development and recreation reading, in addition to national and international journals.The journals subscribed provide the latest information of the key industries and engineering trends to help the students in crucial decision making, and developing the aptitude for the same. The library is subscribing various e-journals like IEEE journals(233) , Science Direct journals(316),SCOPUS(Large abstract and citation database of research literature and select web sources) and BSSA & SRL which are highly benificial in inculcating the spirit of research among the students as well as the faculty members.The library is a member of INDEST and Its competent and qualified staff assist the students in using the rich resources of the library effectively. The library, under its modernisation scheme, has undertaken a massive programme of computerisation of its entire holdings. The reference library is also equipped with photocopying facilities and other modern amenities. The students are encouraged to spend their spare time in the library and thus enrich their knowledge. The library serves as a resource centre to the teaching faculty .

FMS-Library
It has an enriched, well-stocked and modern library with a good collection of more than 8,000 books, subscribing 47 national journals, 11 international journals , several CDs. It subscribes on-line Digital library resources Ebsco which provides access to 1,100 national and international journals online and corporate database CMIE-Prowess covering around 10,000 companies so as to provide sufficient consulting material for the faculty as well as the students. It has a variety of material, which includes course books along with the books for the overall development and recreation reading in addition to the national and international journals. The endeavor to assist in providing sound and authentic information and supplies awareness of new technologies and management techniques edging up the global horizon.

FASC-Library
FASC library has a good collection of more than 8000 books and 300 CDs so as to provide sufficient consulting material for the faculty as well as the students.It has a variety of material, which includes course books along with the books for the overall development and recreation,general reading, in addition to national and international journals.

Besides this, FASC reading room endeavours to assist in providing sound and authentic information and supplies awareness of new technologies and management techniques edging up the global horizon.

Hostels
Experience a cozy home-like atmosphere at our hostels. The rooms are spacious, well furnished, self-contained and duly maintained. They are airy and provide for a great view. The hostel also has the unique telecommunication facility for incoming calls only. They come with the basic amenities like bed, table, chair, small cupboard and electrical fittings. There is 24-hour water supply also. Hostel residents and staff members have the facility of a huge laundry on campus. There are, however, a set of rules and regulations that have to be strictly adhered to. A recreation hall with facilities for indoor games like chess, carom encourages students to make good use of their leisure time. One L.C.D. TV per block is also provided.

Profile of Institute
Mody Institute of Technology & Science a fully dedicated girls engineering college established in the year 1989 in the royal land of Rajasthan. Within a short span of time the institute has blossomed as a favourite destination among girls engineering aspirants. The institute has been given the status of 'Deemed to be University' under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956.

CAMPUS
A 140 km drive on the Jaipur-Bikaner highway (NH-11) from Jaipur takes you to the magnificent campus of the institute. It is spread over an area of over 265 acres full of greenery with a wide variety of trees and other plants, especially developed for the purpose. Drive through any of the three massive gates, you will usher yourself into a gigantic campus with 69 buildings covering an area of approximately 12 lacs sq. ft. , connected by approximately 10 km internal roads , including huge academic and other buildings, hostels with spacious corridors, big terraces and luxurious rooms brushed with the fragrance of lush green gardens with sprawling lawns harbouring delightful trees and forming a picturesque setting. The whole campus has been beautifully landscaped with waterfalls, fountains, orchards, lawns, forests and a water body, literally transforming the Shekhawati belt of the Thar desert into an oasis. In a latest survey 89 species of birds ( certified by ornithologist from World Wildlife Fund-Indis) and 16 species of butterflies (certified by lepidopterists from World Wildlife Fund -India) have been identified. The campus has its own power house and captive sewage treatment plant. No ground water is lost and all irrigation is carried out with recycled water. FET has collaborations with several companies and educational institutions: CEERI Pilani, Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada and CMERI, Durgapur are three of them.
MITS encompasses a unique conceptual feature of earn while learn, and accordingly offers a stipend of Rs. 8000 p.m. to each of its M. Tech. students. Similarly Research Assistantship of Rs. 10,000 is provided for Ph. D. scholars in the areas of Engineering / Technology and Management and Teaching Assistantship of Rs. 6500 to the Ph. D. scholars in other disciplines. Special emphasis is laid on providing explicit in depth knowledge and practical skills.

LABORATORIES AND WORKSHOP
Electronic Workshop
* The aim of the Electronic Workshop is to familiarize the students with the component level details.
* Has the facility to design and fabricate inductive coils and transformer winding with the help of manual and semi-automatic winding machines.
* Equipped with PC Bart work preparation setup and PCB design facilities.
* Also supports computer-aided PCB design.

Mechanical Workshop and Engineering Graphics Laboratory
* The mechanical workshop enables students to have hands-on experience, handling machines and tools to produce a job.
* Integrates cognitive and manipulative skills of the students.
* Engineering Graphics Laboratory is available to facilitate the students to learn to communicate graphically

Central Workshop
* The workshop consists of Machine shop, Welding shop, Carpentry shop, Fitting shop and Sheet metal shop.
* Machines used are Lathe, Shaper, Milling, Drilling, Grinder, Power hacksaw, Arc Welding transformer and Gas welding equipment.
* Precision Verniercalliper, Height gauge, Micrometer, Level gauge, Wire gauge and surface plate are available.
* The workshop supports undergraduate courses, postgraduate courses, research projects and renders services to university departments.

A sophisticated Learning Management System (LMS) has been implemented in FET that provides faculty and students a centralized set of tools to help automate various aspects of curricular and co-curricular activities.
LMS has a structured shell for each course in which the concerned faculty places all course-related contents such as assignments, syllabi, lecture slides, etc. for access by students. Moreover the students who are enrolled in the course can facilitate and participate in activities such as discussion forums and chats. Faculty also conducts online activities such as online quiz and assignments. Using the online grading system in LMS, faculty can assess students performance using this cutting-edge technology.

During a very short span of time the faculty has carved out a niche in the university by augmenting its Library with all important legal works, reports, journals and treatises including recently published HALSBURY LAWS OF INDIA and the renowned SACRED LAWS OF THE EAST by Max Muller.
Computer Lab facility is also available to students. Apart from providing 24-Hour Internet services, the Online Data Base Multi-User is also available which contains Statutes, Rules, Regulations, Judgments of the Privy Council, High Courts and the Supreme Court, burning articles and news including latest developments in the socio- legal field.

FASC-Library
FASC library has a good collection of more than 8000 books and 300 CDs so as to provide sufficient consulting material for the faculty as well as the students.It has a variety of material, which includes course books along with the books for the overall development and recreation,general reading, in addition to national and international journals.
Besides this, FASC reading room endeavours to assist in providing sound and authentic information and supplies awareness of new technologies and management techniques edging up the global horizon.

The MITS family including authorities, the faculty members and the students all dine together to have a feeling of belongingness.
The central dining hall, with a seating capacity of 1800 diners is equipped with its own bakery and provides well-planned, varied, balanced and appetizing vegetarian food prepared in strict hygienic conditions. The day starts with serving of snacks and milk (from our own dairy) early in the morning and ends with serving nourishing milk before going to bed. We always seek perfection and are constantly on the vigil to detect and take care of even the slightest lacuna in the campus. Smooth functioning of the mess ensuring quality food preparation, appetizing varieties and mouth-watering aroma can only be realized by being there.
Not far behind from McDonalds, our Cafeteria achieves the students from the hectic schedule. Magnificent Cafeteria, reverberating by the lively music is a specialty of the Institute.

MITS, being an institute for girls, has looked into the security aspect with a great deal of care. Professional security personnel guard the institute twenty four hours a day and their unflinching vigilance makes the campus thoroughly secure.To maintain the decorum of the institute every one has to follow some instructions, so that the security can be ensured.

* All the resident students are allowed to go out with proper gate passes, signed by either the warden or by the teachers of respective departments.

* Daily entry and exit record of everyone, the students as well as of the teachers is maintained at the gate.

* A list of four visitors with the photograph for every student is available with the security department and the visitors can visit the respective students after being matched with the photograph and name of the visitors card.

Indeed the comforts that MITS provides to the students are topped by a sense of anxiety free heaven that makes it a safe and secure home away from home.

FJS provides internship facility to all its students. This programme is organised in collaboration with legal firms, institutions, NGOs, eminent advocates and courts. This exercise carries utmost importance because of the inherent advantages lying therein. Apart from giving the practical working of law in society, this academic exercise prepares students in becoming more vibrant in their approach and presentation. We truly believe in producing meaningful stuff than useless one and this programme is the burning example of our commitment. Moreover, the university placement cell is sincerely dedicated to adjust almost all the students in well-known Corporate Law Firms, MNCs and also with senior Supreme Court and High Courts Lawyers.

Industrial Tours
In 2005-06, about 140 students of FET went on an industrial trip to Bangalore to visit ISRO, ISTRAC, IBM and various other software companies.
In 2005-06, final year students of FMS went on an industrial tour to Jaipur, Baroda, Anand and Ahmedabad to visit REIL, IPCL, AMUL, Sri Arvind Mills and Kamakshi Flex Pvt. Limited.
In 2006-07, final year students of FMS went on an industrial tour to Neemrana, Ahmedabad and Virawal to visit Parle, Vadilal, Zinest and Ambuja Cement.
In 2008-09, about 49 students of FET went on an industrial trip to Bangalore to visit ISRO and DRDO.
Industrial visits feature prominently on the agenda of MITS.
Short trips and long excursions are organized to help students unwind and relax.

Analog Laboratory

* Has a good range of Active and Passive components to perform experiments in Analog Electronics.
Microprocessor and Microcontroller Laboratory
* Students learn about hardware and programming of processors.
* Universal programmer is available to facilitate hands-on programming of PROMS to the students and especially for project work.

* PCs are available for assembly programming using MASAM and to interface with the external devices.

Microwave and Antenna Laboratory
* Provides theoretical and meaningful laboratory experience in microwave techniques to the students.
* Consists of seven-microwave benches: Frequency Meter, Attenuator, Tunable Probe, Detector Mount, Cathode Ray Oscilloscope and VSWR Meters.
* Four benches use Klystron power supply and three are Gunn oscillator test benches.
* Microwave components are also available for the students.
* Equipped for making measurements of antenna parameters at frequencies ranging from800MHz to 1250 MHz.
* Equipped with antenna plot using relevant software.
* There is also a provision of an acoustic chamber.
Digital Signal Processing Laboratory
* Facilities to provide the concepts of Real-Time and Non-Real-Time applications on the DSP

Electrical Machines Laboratory
* Fully equipped with latest machines imported from LD Didactic GmbH, Germany.
* The Laboratory includes electrical machines like DC shunt machine, single phase and three phase transformer, three phase induction machine and synchronous machine, stepper motor, single phase induction machine, servomotor and fully computer control unit of DC machine and AC induction and synchronous machine.
Network Analysis Laboratory
* The purpose of this laboratory is to make the students familiar with the design and analysis of different electrical and electronic circuits through hardware and software (MATLAB/PSPICE).
* Provides hands-on experience on RLC circuit, Filter circuit design, Transiens, two-port network, Network theorems, Time constant of R-C and R-L circuit, KCL and KVL laws and different types of wave generation (periodic/non-periodic).
Electrical and Electronics Measurement Laboratory
* The laboratory is designed to make the students familiar with measurement techniques and calibration of different electrical parameters.
* The lab includes temperature measurement by Thermocouple, Thermistor and RTD, Loading effect using PMMC meter, Q factor, Displacement measurement by LVDT, different AC bridges like Owens bridge, Maxwells bridge and Andersons bridge and data acquisition system.
Power Electronics Laboratory
* Intends to provide meaningful laboratory experience in the field of power electronics and drives to the students.
* Provides hands-on experience on SCR, MOSFET, Half and full wave controlled Rectifier, choppers, forced commutation of SCR, Frequency converter and simulation of half and full wave rectifiers by Matlab simulation toolbox.
Control System Laboratory
* This laboratory provides facilities to have hands-on experience in control system Engineering.
* The laboratory is equipped with AC/DC position control modules, Synchro Unit, Linear system simulator, PID controller, Potentiometer error detector modules, Temperature control modules, Compensation design modules, DC motor control.

Department of Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering discipline applies the principles of physics, chemistry and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. FET has opened Mechanical Engineering from the academic session 2010-11 to cater to the needs of the country. The following laboratories are being set up with the state-of-the-art equipment.

Physics Research Laboratory is equipped with some major equipment including an UV - 1800 spectrometer, an Advanced Four Probe setup with PID controlled oven, Hall coefficient measurement setup, Magneto resistance measurement unit, LCR bridge, Dielectric constant measurement unit, Temperature controlled oven, Precision electronic balance, Rotary Evaporator etc.
Chemistry Research Laboratory
* Chemistry Research Laboratory is equipped with IR, UV, Rheometer, Zetameter, Melallurgical Microscope, Ball Mill, pH Analyzer, Vacuum and Hot Air Oven, Microwave, Cold Temperature Circulating Bath, Glosso meters, Centrifuge etc.
* Research facilities for Postgraduate and Ph.D. students in areas like medicinal inorganic chemistry, design and synthesis of organic and metallo-organic compounds of applied aspects, and water treatment devices are also available.
Water Technology Laboratory
This laboratory has Flame photometer, Fluoride ion selective meter/electrodes, Stablized Earth Block Making Machine.

English Language Laboratory
* Is equipped with one of the best multi-tasking and multimedia language software available Hi-Class-Learn to Speak installed on 35 student consoles and one teacher console.
