JECRC Foundation
Education is the foundation upon which a progressive nation stands and its citizens, made responsible by that education, are the building blocks of that foundation. JECRC Foundation, since its inception, has taken the mission of nurturing students into sensitive human beings. JECRC Foundation is ascribed as one of the most preferred educational institutions in North India. The Foundation is a leading education group, with institutes for engineering, management, pharmacy and pure and applied sciences.

JECRC Foundation is NBA accredited institute whose highly qualified and experienced faculty, advanced infrastructural set-up and full-fledged hostels offers a comprehensive learning environment for its students. Faculty

JECRC
JECRC has over 120 faculty members who hold distinguished academic qualifications and have a wide industry exposure. The faculty at JECRC are constantly engaged in delivering their best to the students. The team comprises of 20 PhD holders, 40 MTechs/MEs and 60 BEs.

UDML
The faculty at UDML comprises highly competent professors, who are holders of distinguished academic degrees and have rich industry experience. The institute has a faculty strength of 80 members, including 09 Professors, 18 Asst. Professors and 53 Lecturers.

MGIaS
Faculty of MGIaS consists of 17 distinguished and highly qualified members with all of them having PhD and comprehensive post-doctoral teaching experience.

Infrastructure
The advanced infrastructural set up at the JECRC Foundation facilitates skill-enabled learning for its faculty and students. The Foundation also provides living and conveyance facilities for the convenience of students.

Laboratories
JECRC Foundation has some of the most advanced laboratories for practical training, that support classroom teaching. With separate laboratories for each discipline, students are able to gain hands-on experience using modern testing equipment and technology.

Library
JECRC Library functions as the focal point of academic and research activities for faculty members, students and staff. The collection comprises printed documents as well as non-book collections like audio/video cassettes and CDROM discs etc. All activities of JECRC Library are computerized, including bar-coded ID cards and separate On-line Public Access Catalogue (OPAC) terminals to know the status of books at any time.

Hostel
JECRC Foundation has separate hostels for boys and girls. With good housing facilities and sufficient amenities, JECRC Foundation offers a healthy environment for interacting with friends and peers. Proximity to shopping areas, banking and medical facilities makes living convenient and comfortable.

Conveyance
JECRC Foundation provides efficient and safe conveyance facilities at reasonable charges, thanks to its fleet of 15 buses. The transport network links all parts of Jaipur to the institutes for the convenience of students and faculty members.

Research
DST Centre with Potential for Excellence
The institute, because of its interdisciplinary research activities, is being considered as the Centre with Potential for Excellence by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of Rajasthan. It is for the first time that such recognition is being given by State DST to any educational institute. A three year research project on Scientific Validation of Ethonomedicinal Plants of Tribal Areas of Rajasthan has been approved by the expert committee of DST, Government of Rajasthan. The Centre is currently preparing ethanomedicinal herbarium, its scientific validation, a live documentary, marker general and fingerprints; and studying various bio-efficacious aspects including in situ conversation of tribal treasure of Rajasthan.

Research Projects
Most of the faculty members at MGIaS, 17 with Ph.D. degree, are engaged in active research, evidenced by publications in reputed national and international journals of Life Sciences and Chemical Sciences, every year. Even the students are inspired by the research atmosphere at the institute. Several student research projects have been awarded to the Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology of our institute by the State DST, Government of Rajasthan. All students of our institute carry out one to two months compulsory research project work at our campus laboratories. They are guided by expert faculty members in various fields of biotechnology such as plant, animal, environmental, medicinal, algal and microbial biotechnology.

Drug Research Lab
Therachem Research Medilab (India) Pvt Ltd, Jaipur is a full-service contract-based organisation of the JECRC Foundation that offers quality solutions to support drug discovery, development and large-scale manufacturing. Therachem is headquartered at Birmingham, Alabama, USA and is registered in the name of United Chem Resources, LLC. Every year, around 50 students from Biotechnology, Pharma Chemistry and Chemistry departments of MGIaS are encouraged to carry out research and training work at Therachem. Students with exceptional talents are even given job offers after completing their degrees.

Activities
Education enriches ones knowledge, whereas exposure builds ones personality. JECRC Foundation believes in and encourages students intense participation in extra-curricular activities and events. The students of the JECRC Foundation have organized and participated in several competitive events, and have also initiated student activity clubs that encourage learning through peer group discussion.

Sports and Games
JECRC Foundation is eminently known for his engineering education and other disciplines. Games and sports activities, too, have become a salient feature for the fitness and wellness of our students. Sports activities for both indoor and outdoor games are plentiful. The students have earned merit at national and state level events. UDML is having a vast sports complex, covering 11000Sq Mtrs of campus area. The sports complex consist of different play courts like tennis, basketball, squash etc in addition to the cricket pitch.

Events
Renaissance10 (JECRC)
The annual national-level fest, Renaissance, is the most-awaited celebration at JECRC. Renaissance offers so much to the students. Not just the variety, but the scale on which it is organized is in itself so overwhelming. This technical-cum-cultural symposium sees participation from top technical colleges from across the country every year. It provides an opportunity to co-ordinate as teams and work towards a common cause. A window to really expand ones horizons and manage within the constraints which is the true quality that defines professionals of today.

The Ray
The Ray is an event tabloid for JECRC Foundations annual tech-fest, Renaissance. Launched during Renaissance 2009, the tabloid captures all the excitement, energy and fun witnessed during the course of the fest. Released by the Press Club team, the tabloid drew wide appreciation and applause from the faculty and students alike. The team members put in their best efforts, right from arranging sponsorships to reporting of the event, to release of the edition.

Sarvatra10 (UDML)
The foundation stone of the four days vitrine of SARVATRA 2010.go beyond obvious the first techno-cultural fest of Uttam Devi Mohan Lal College of Engineering, JECRC Foundation was laid. More than 100 colleges had participated in various cultural and technical events.

Zephyr (JBS)
The week long management fest tests the participants on their knowledge, personality and management acumen. The fest is full of energy, ideas and enthusiasm with activities like management games, quizzes, debates, etc.

Vibgyor (MGIaS)
An inter-collegiate youth fest, Vibgyor draws participation from several institutes across Rajasthan. The event is marked with the spirit of enthusiasm, as a number of cultural competitions are organised through the course of the fest.

Student Clubs Activities
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE)
In March 2009, the JECRC SAE Club was launched in the Mechanical Engineering Department of the JECRC Foundation. SAE, founded in 1905, is a US-based society for promotion and advancement of the automotive industry and recognised by leading organisations as a premier establishment. BAJA SAEINDIA, an inter-collegiate engineering design competition, is the biggest and most famous event among the engineering student fraternity across the country. The event witnesses around 5000 spectators and the leading giants of automotive industry like Mahindra and Mahindra , JK Tyre , BOSCH, Cummins etc. sponsor the event every year. The event in all have cash prizes more than 50 lacs . It also gives a platform for onsite recruitment for the budding automotive engineers across the country. Its been first time (2009-10) that any college from Jaipur has been able to be a part of this event. This year approximately 155 colleges applied across the country and some 80 colleges were short listed, in a tough reckoning round where some of the most prestigious colleges failed to qualify but JECRC team MOONRIDERS came out with flying colors. The team participated in the event this year (2010) and was at 17th position at endurance event out of 75. The teams was applauded by all for their effort and see a prospect winner in coming years.

Xananoids: The Robotics Club (JECRC)
Xananoids, the Robotics Club of JECRC has participated and won several accolades at national and international robotic engineering competitions.

Global Relationship Building (GRB)
GRB, launched in 2010, aims at providing a virtual opportunity to our student community to connect to the key stakeholders (sister institutions, research institutes, alumni, professional associations, etc.) of technical education. In particular, GRB enables the students for intensive global Internet research for connecting with industry, higher learning institutions, research institutes and connecting with academic communities of experts worldwide for knowledge sharing. It also aims at nurturing alumni relations and exploring academic collaboration with industry for alliances in education.

Leadership Pipeline Project (LPP)
The overall mission of LPP is to create, develop and sustain a pool of student leaders in a continuous pursuit of excellence in technical education leading to a stronger institute industry interface. LPP was evolved in the academic year 2008-2009, as a major platform to showcase the talents pool of JECRC to the corporate world.

Technofizi: The Robotics Club (UDML)
The spark to do something creative ignited the thought process of a few students which led to the caricatures of Robotics Club at UDML. The team is all set to make sincere efforts to explore the diverse applications of robotics. The club today is an active platform for students to display and develop their practical machine building skills and knowledge.

Student Empowerment Council
The students of the JECRC Foundation have showcased their sensitivity towards social issues and regularly contribute through the NSS. They have participated in several help programmes, including Make a Wish, Tree Plantation and Blood Donation. The unconditional support of students has enabled the Foundation to create State-level records in collection of blood units, year after year. Last year The Foundation collected 1108 blood units in a single day. These efforts have been appreciated by Ms Vasundara Raje, Former Chief Minister, Government of Rajasthan.

Spreading Smiles
Faith Alingan, an NGO based in Jaipur, has taken a noble step to minimize pain and dispair of many HIV positive kids whose parents are inefficient to take proper care of them. This NGO provides them with shelter, education, food, as well as medical facilities. JECRC Centre has resolved to help these kids in every possible way. To fulfill its resolution, a summer camp was organized last year where the children were provided with the basics of computers. This year we had invited Faith Alingan children to be the special part of Renaissance, where they were given the opportunity to enjoy every bit of this cultural cum technical fest by being the part of various events. They had also been given certificates and gifts.

Literary Society
An attempt to bridge the gap between technical education and effective communication-a pre-requisite for being successful in the corporate world-has been made by initiating the Literary Society. It conducts events like quizzes, debates, group discussions, extempore, speeches and experience sharing sessions

Alumni Association
JECRC Foundation maintains regular contact with its alumni. The alumnus is invited to the institute every year to share its experiences and views on real-life working. These interactions are organised by the JECRC Alumni Association, which is now a duly registered body.

Achievements and Accolades
Students Triumph
The students of the Foundation zealously participate in various co-curricular activities, organised at the national and international levels. They have participated in numerous events organised by institutes of national repute and won laurels for our institutes.
* Final year B. Tech. Student from JECRC, Chandraprakash Sharma, among 80 students selected all over the world, has qualified for a 10-weeks professional development program called Graduate Studies Program at NASA Ames, where grooming of students is done by top notch dignitaries of related fields like astronauts, leading scientists, entrepreneurs and policy makers.
* The robotics team-TECHNOFIZI of UDML participated in the technical events of other colleges and brought laurels for the college.
* ENIGMA dance group of JECRC is a group aiming to promote hip hop dance culture in Rajasthan. The group won first prize 16 times in different competitions held at colleges and other places. Enigma, a self choreographed dance team, is popular for its coordination, uniqueness, choreography, expressions and most of all the self designed costumes. Recently selected in a street dance competition based on reality show conducted by reputed TV Channel at Delhi which will be on-air shortly. ENIGMA is among the top 20 teams of India which participated in this competition.
* Harsh Dhadhich and Manoj Motiani, alumni of the JECRC Foundation, have been selected for a fellowship programme at IIM, Ahmedabad. Every IIM institute offers only two seats under its fellowship programme. JECRC Foundation holds pride in its students for securing this remarkable achievement.
* Ganesh Ram Jangir, a student of B.Tech. 6th Semester has filed a patent (Indian Patent/2155 Del/2008) for his innovation termed as- Belt System for Body Support. This Belt helps disabled people as well as people subject to strenuous work. This patent claim has already appeared in the publications of Indian Patent Bulletin and is in the final stage of its evaluation. Mr. Ganesh Ram Jangir has many other innovations to his credit for which he has won accolades from organizations like IIT (Mumbai), University of Science and Technology, Kochin. He has also been awarded the Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojna (KVPY) by Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore. Recently, Ganesh has also been granted a student research project by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt of India.

JECRC Foundation is associated with the Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), Germany, through an academic corporation programme. This provides opportunities for the mutual exchange of students and faculty between the LUH, Germany and the JECRC Foundation. Some of our students have successfully completed summer schools and training at LUH. This year also three students will be going Germany to attend a DAAD summer school on Teaching and Research for Sustainability organized by Centre of Applied Biotechnology, LUH, Hannover.

EMC2 Academic Alliance Program
The EMC2 Academic Alliance program, a collaboration with colleges and universities worldwide, was created to address the skills gap resulting from the growing volume and complexity of data. EMC2 offered a unique open Information Storage and Management (ISM) course to JECRC. It conducts EMC Proven Professional Exam on Information Storage and Management which is the leading Storage Technology.

The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC)
The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) by IBM India is the biggest national level software development competition asdeclared by Limca Book of World Record. TGMC gives B.E./B.Tech./MCA a platform to make projects using IBM latest technologies and tools. In TGMC09, Jaipur Engineering College and Research Centre, Jaipur was selected as one of the top 30 colleges from which number of registration was more than 1000. IBM conducted a felicitation ceremony on May 12th, 2010 at Bengaluru and JECRC was also invited to attend the ceremony and to collect the memento of appreciation and certificate.

International Cooperation
Deutscher Akademischer Austausch Dienst (DAAD)
The Foundation holds a privileged association with the DAAD, a joint organisation of German institutions of higher education and student bodies, with the aim of promoting global academic co-operation. The JECRC Foundation is one of the few selected institutes from India to participate in this prestigious international project.

Leibniz University Hannover, Germany
JECRC Foundation is associated with the Leibniz University Hannover (LUH), Germany, through an academic corporation programme. Young Professionals Platform for Agriculture Research for Development (YPARD)
The Foundation is actively in touch with YPARD. YPARD fosters exchange of information and knowledge among young professionals across disciplines to broaden opportunities. YPARD also facilitates and catalyzes links between young researchers and scientists located worldwide. The YPARD Review Meeting was organized at JECRC in July 2009 to discuss the next five year plan for YPARD - India and to strengthen the YPARD network in order to facilitate more resources to young researchers.
