Sandip Institute of Technology & Research Centre is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified engineering college and established in the year 2008 under the auspices of Sandip Foundation Charitable Trust by the founder trustee Mr. Sandip Kumar Jha. The trust is also running other institutions in various fields â€“ Paramedical, Education, General Graduation, Engineering, Pre universities, High Schools (upcomming), Primary Schools(upcomming), etc.
SITRC is one of the Best engineering colleges in Maharashtra which is affiliated to Pune University and recognized by Government of Maharashtra under the approval from All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi. The institution has six blocks which houses major departments.

The purpose of College Library is to support the educational mission of the College by anticipating and fulfilling the information needs of the diverse student, faculty, administration, staff, and community populations. The goal of the Library program is to prepare all studentsâ€”transfer, vocational, and lifelong learnersâ€”to function effectively in a highly technological society with an information-based economy. Library systems are designed, and the staff is organized and committed, to achieving the following objective: to help users develop information competency, a broad-based literacy that includes the skill to identify, retrieve, evaluate, and apply information to a problem-solving context. The library at SITRC is using RFID ( Radio Frequency Identifiation Device) for issueing and returning of books, which makes the system fully automatic. Here is a brief summary of RFID system.
For many students who use the canteen regularly, the food purchased there makes a significant contribution to their total food intake and nutrition. For those students who do not use the college canteen or food service regularly, the canteen still plays an important educational and modelling role for healthy eating habits.
In addition to the provision of nutritious food, the canteen has an important role within the broader college environment in complementing the knowledge, skills and behaviours about healthy eating and lifestyles that are taught in the classroom. The food provided within the college environment has a considerable influence on the development of student's long-term eating habits, food preferences and attitudes towards food.
The college canteen plays an important role in promoting healthy foods and creating a college culture of healthy eating. This can extend beyond the college environment and influence food choices within the family and community and enhance the social and multicultural aspects of food and eating.
The instute is having a fleet of buses which takes rounds to the city to provide transportation to students and staff from different locations in Nashik and near by area everyday. Also the institute has tie up with the Maharshtra State Transport to enhance the bus facility. The State transport buses takes round of the city to provide transportation to students and staff.

Drawing Halls- SITRC
Engineering drawings are often referred to as "blueprints" or "bluelines ". However, the terms are rapidly becoming an anachronism, since most copies of engineering drawings that were formerly made using a chemical-printing process that yielded graphics on blue-colored paper or, alternatively, of blue-lines on white paper, have been superseded by more modern reproduction processes that yield black or multicolour lines on white paper. The more generic term "print" is now in common usage in the U.S. to mean any paper copy of an engineering drawing.
Engineering drawings can now be produced using computer technology. Drawings are extracted from three dimensional computer models and can be printed as two dimensional drawings on various media formats(colour or monochrome). Engineered computer models can also be printed in three dimensional form using special 3D printers.
The process of producing engineering drawings, and the skill of producing them, is often referred to as technical drawing, although technical drawings are also required for disciplines that would not ordinarily be thought of as parts of engineering.
Laboratories â€“ SITRC
Students have access to air-conditioned computer labs with high speed internet (2 Mbps) with latest configurations and multimedia facilities. All machines are Pentium 4 and connected by LAN. Apart from department labs, for hostellers the institute provides one common internet lab with 125 PCs which is open beyond college timings too. The systems are well maintained with three Xenon servers.
As reasearch indicates that strong student-teacher relationships have been linked to many positive outcomes, including better behavior in classrooms and improvement in learning. Because of the established relationship regular classroom teachers have with their students, it may be easier for adolescents to talk with and learn from someone who already knows them as individuals.
