Facilities for Students
The academic work of the college is continuously and closely monitored through Class Review Committees on which the students are also active participants. The institute has a scientifically designed and fully computerized system of collecting student feedback and analyzing it in order to evaluate the performance of every faculty member. It helps the administration in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of every teacher. The teachers are given appropriate advice /training, based on this feedback.

The proctoral system has been introduced for counseling the students. College is laying emphasis on the faculty development by encouraging faculty to give Seminars on special topics, to participate in Seminars and Conferences to design and conduct the Workshops and Seminars in the college itself.

ANITS is engaged in imparting quality technical education. It constantly strives towards achieving high standards of teaching, training and development of human resources by encouraging its faculty and staff to work as a team and to update their knowledge and skills continually to match the needs of industry.

The faculty are deputed to upgrade their knowledge and to improve their qualifications by undergoing the Staff Development Programmes. The academic performance of the teachers is continuously assessed and the best of the faculty are identified and honored at Annual Functions.

The ANITS has gone a step ahead of other colleges in this part of Andhra Pradesh in caring for the welfare of students and staff by appointing a qualified full time Psychologist cum Counsellor for their benefit.

The departments are encouraged to make innovation in their respective fields of specialization and also to go beyond the syllabus in imparting knowledge to the students. Establishment of Bioinformatics Lab in Bio-Technology department, Organization of Personality Development Courses, guest lecturers from eminent Professors/Engineers from reputed Institutions and organizations are some steps taken in this direction.

There is a separate computer centre with 70 systems for students. In addition, the CSE and IT departments have 6 laboratories with P-IV systems duly supported by licensed system software and application software adequate to cater to the needs of the students and connected by LAN.

AMENITIES
Medical Facilities: Anil Neerukonda Educational Society has been running a 300-bed hospital with about 12 specialist doctors and excellent diagnostic and infrastructural facilities in the area adjoining ANITS campus. This has been operational for the last 3 years and ANITS students and staff can avail of this facility.

Water supply: There are 5 bore wells in ANITS campus with adequate yield to fully meet the water requirement for drinking, laboratory use and other purposes. An RO Plant (Mineral Water Plant) with a capacity of 1000 Liters per hour for drinking is also established from the academic 2009-10.

STD / ISD Booth: An STD / ISD booth has been provided within the institute campus for use by the staff & students. There are altogether 3 lines, one for a wall-mounted coin box phone and two for the two table top instruments.

To ensure continuous quality power supply, a 20 KVA Generator has been procured in addition to the existing 125 KVA Generator.

Transport facility to the students has been further increased by the addition of 2 more buses to its present fleet of 12 buses and also by extending the operation limits to Steel Plant, Kurmannapalem, and Simhachalam area.

Library procured a Unified library server (Digital Library) at a cost of Rs. 18.65 lakhs for the benefit of the students and faculty.

An environmental friendly device, solar water system is provided to the Girls Hostel

ANIL NEERUKONDA EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY(ANES) has been founded by Dr. N. B. R. Prasad, an NRI Philanthropist from USA, in memory of his son,Late Anil Neerukonda. Working with missionary zeal, unrelenting commitment and strong financial backing, Dr.Prasad, along with his friends, planned and completed the construction of a $6 million Venkteshwara Temple in greater Chicago area, and this temple of higher learning.

ANES was registered at Visakhapatnam on 7th of August,2000 with the following Aims & Objectives:

To organize, establish and manage both Technical and Non-Technical Colleges and Charitable Institutions without any motive of profit.

To train pupils to be good and responsible citizens by nurturing their potentiality to play a useful and effective role in the society.

To promote international understanding in the educational & cultural spheres for developmental co-operation among Peoples and Nations

ANIL NEERUKONDA INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES(ANITS), was established in the Academic Year2001-02 with the approval of the ALL INDIA COUNCIL FOR TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION(AICTE), New Delhi and the Government of Andhra Pradesh and is affiliated to ANDHRA UNIVERSITY(AU), Visakhapatnam.

"ANITS"is located in a plot of 14 acres area in Sangivalasa Village of Bheemunipatnam Mandalam and is approximately 300 meters from the Chennai Kolkatta Highway.The institute is 27Kms. from Visakhapatnam and is within 30 minutes drive.City Service Buses ply from Vizag every 15 minutes.The campus is at a distance of 3Kms. and 1Km., respectively from Bheemunipatnam and Tagarapuvalasa.RTC Bus No.222 runs from RTC Complex to Tagarapuvalasa.

Recent Milestones
We are very happy to inform you that our college was renewed ON-LINE journals of IEL (Single user) and Springer Link (multi user) through INDEST-AICTE CONSORTIUM with a cost of 5.10 lakhs. We can access 12000 publications including 129 journals from IEEE site and 1,861 journals and 16272 E-Books from Springer link site.

We are very glad to inform you that our Digital library was expanded with another 15 No. of Pc's in addition to existed 15 No. of Pc's

The central library of ANITS presently covers a total user area of 6000 sq. feet, with a seating capacity of 150 in two floors. In 1st floor we are maintaining Circulation section, Journals , News papers & Magazines and Digital library. In 2nd Floor Reference books and previous question papers.

Collection is one of the important functions of the library that supports academic and research work of the students, faculty and other users. The library collection comprising of the books, journals, periodicals and non-books material in science and engineering, is considered one of the best in the city and is its greatest asset. The above-acquired documents have been classified, catalogued and kept ready for use. Special care is taken to neatly maintain the library stacks to facilitate users to locate the desired document quickly and to replace the worn out tables quickly.

Digital Library
" Besides the textbooks, reference books and journals the library provides adequate infrastructure consisting of 30 PCs networked to a Windows 2000 server with a high speed Internet Connectivity (2 mbps) to the users free of cost. They can browse On-Line journals and E-Books.

The library is also providing reprography service to all the users.

The library provides book bank service - books supplied by social welfare department, Govt. Of Andhra Pradesh that are available for lending to SC and ST students.

Information alert services like employment opportunities and prospectuses of foreign universities are also provided to alert users about the latest information of their interest.

Admissions

A. Engineering & Technology Programs
1. Tution Fees: The tution fee is charged for B.E/B.Tech programs is, as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, which is Rs.30,200/- for Convener(Category-A) Quota and Rs.91,700/- for NRI/NRI Sponsored(Category-B) Quota.

For the 4 accredited courses (ECE, CSE, EEE, BIO-TECH), an additional Tution fee of Rs.3,000/- is to be paid (from the batch of 2008-09 students) which is fixed by the Fee Fixation Committee constituted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

2. Admission & other Fees:
For those admitted under Convener(Category-A) Quota: An amount of Rs.9,000/- has to be paid by every student at the time of admission into the first year of the 4-year B.E/B.Tech degree program. This amount covers the Admission fee, Caution deposit(refundable), A.U. Exams & Misc. Fee as well as A.U. Affiliation & UDF Fee. The amount to be paid for the remaining 3-years wil be announced at the beginning of subsquent academic years.

For those admitted under NRI/NRI sponsored(Category-B) Quota: An amount of Rs.11,200/- has to be paid by every student at the time of admission into the first year of the 4-year B.E/B/Tech degree program. This amount covers the Admission fee, Caution deposit(refundable), A.U. Exams & Misc. Fee as well as A.U. Affiliation & UDF Fee. The amount to be paid for the remaining 3-years will be announced at the beginning of subsquent academic years.

B. 3-year M.C.A Program
1. Tution Fees:The tuition fee charged for M.C.A course is Rs.26,700/- per year for the astudents admitted through Converner(Category-A) quota and Rs.73,100/- per year for those admitted under NRI/NRI sponsored(Category-B) quota.

2. Admission & other Fees:
For those admitted under Convener(Category-A) Quota: An amount of Rs 6,800/- has to be paid by every student at the time of admission into the first year of the 3-year M.C.A program. This amount covers the Admission fee, Caution deposit(refundable), A.U. Exams & Misc. Fee as well as A.U. Affiliation & UDF Fee. The amount to be paid for the remaining 2-years wil be announced at the beginning of subsquent academic years.

For those admitted under NRI/NRI sponsored(Category-B) Quota: An amount of Rs.27,700/- has to be paid by every student at the time of admission into the first year of the 3-year MCA program. This amount covers the Admission fee, Caution deposit(refundable), A.U. Exams & Misc. Fee as well as A.U. Affiliation & UDF Fee. The amount to be paid for the remaining 2-years will be announced at the beginning of subsquent academic years.

Category-B Seats
Merit List of students alloted seats in respective departments as per the applications received for the academic year 2009-10 under category-B as displayed on the Notice board.
