Australia And Indian Students, A Question of Dignity !

No body in India is happy over the inhuman treatment of Indian students in Australia. For Australians education is big business , a great source of making dollars , but for Indians education is not a simple monetary pursuit and it should not be.

In our own country educational standards have not been paid due attention since years by those running and regulating higher education. That is why today a foreign degree has become a costly and non dignified alternative for young Indians too.

Indian students are being treated in Australia in a shabby way , quite resembling with the treatment to our Father of Nation in South Africa years back in a train.

If he would have been there today , he might have given a clarion call to all students to return to India their by leaving Australian institutions in lurch , and losing all economic benefits which they ( Australian institutions ) are taking from Indian students today . Today our leaders do not have self confidence like him , everybody knows it.

There was a time in India that foreign students use to come to India for higher studies and now totally reverse situation. Why Who will answer it Who will correct this

Creating more and more colleges and universities in India is not gong to inject quality in higher education.

We need to uplift the standard of existing institutions also.

Benchmarking for admission ,faculty selection, examination is seriously missing . For it government needs to play its regulatory duty honestly . We should not make education as a tradable commodity in future .

We need vocational institutions linked with industry.

Vision for educational needs of Indians needs redefinition by central , state govts and those running educational institutions .

We must think of developing our universities in to Takshila And Nalanda for that our youth needs superb Indianised higher education . They need not to learn racial practices in insensitive countries.

Govt in India should make higher education more standardized . What is missing in Indian colleges and universities must be cured at the earliest.

If we can retain our students in our institutions for quality learning , We can help our exchequer also .

Misbehave with students in foreign land reminds us of pre dependence era treatment by British with our freedom fighters . Along with restoring dignity of indian students there it is right time to awake for providers of higher education in India .
