About WCTM
World College of Technology and Management (WCTM), approved by AICTE ,Ministry of HRD ,Govt. of India ,and affiliated to MDU, Rohtak, is established with the sole motive of imparting quality technology and management education with emphasis on both technical and theoretical aspects. The prime focus of the college is on in- depth education, continuous monitoring and evaluation through tutorials, regular classes and expert lectures from eminent people from pioneering institutes and industry. Besides curricular activities sports and excursions from an integral part of the college curriculum. Utmost effort are placed to provide world class teaching, learning environment with modern pedagogy and most advanced technical infrastructure.

The WCTM is located in the National Capital region {NCR). WCTM was established in the year 2007 by Amma Chandravati Educational and Charitable Trust. It is spread across 18 acres in a lush green environment. The ambience at WCTM is vibrant, cosmopolitan and intellectually stimulating.

The college is located on Farukh Nagar - (Kherakhurrampur), Gurgaon (Haryana). It gives me the immense pleasure to place before you the information brochure of World College of Technology and Management (WCTM), The fifth college established by Amma Chandravati Educational and Charitable Trust with the approval of AICTE and affiliation to Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana. The sole motive behind laying the foundation of WCTM is to develop an institute where the young aspirants can acquaint themselves with latest technology, innovations and management concepts. I not only hope but am sure that the qualified faculty along with the efficient will leave no stone unturned to take the college at the zenith of education, as they have already proved the capacity of Rajasthan Institute of Engineering and Technology (RIET), Kautilaya Institute of Technology and Engineering (KITE), Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women (RCEW), Rajasthan pharmacy College (RCP) in 2000,2000,2002 and 2006 respectively, the other colleges of Jaipur by the same society. Profile Overview
Dr. Narendra Singh was born in a prominent family of Bharatpur (Rajasthan) in village Pidawali in June, 1961. He completed his education with M.S., M. Tech and Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. He has carried out his post doctoral studies from University of Leeds, England He has vast experience of Technical Education in University of America, Austria and Australia Dr. Singh has been associated with promotion of Quality Technical Education in the country. He has also worked on various aspects of Promotion and Utilization of various sources of Energy.

Dr. Narendra is in association with a number of National and International Technical Association and Forums. Dr. Narendra Singh is on the Board of Governors of RIET, Jaipur; RCEW, Jaipur; RPC, Jaipur; KITE, Jaipur.

Dr. Ritu Singh has completed her Ph.D from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi . Further she worked for two years with IIT, Delhi . Thereafter she did her Post Doctorate from University of Leeds, UK under Nehru Centenary Fellowship Programme of Govt. of India and Govt. of UK. She had also worked with Ministry of Information of Technology, Govt. of India. For past few years she has been associated with a number of technical institutes in India and abroad

Prof. N.D. Kaushik
Prof. N.D. Kaushik is an outstanding Researcher. He has served IIT, Delhi as Prof. for more than 20 years. He has been associated with various top most international universities in USA, Australia, and Japan etc. He has more than 150 publications in various International and National Journals and guided a large number of students for their M.Tech and Ph.D studies.

Professor and Head Civil Engineering Deptt.

An eminent Professor in the area of Structural Engineering. He has over 42 years of teaching and research experience including that of teaching in Southern Africa, Libya and India. He is fellow Member of Institution of Engineers, India and Life Member of I.S.T.E. and I.S.T.A.M.

Campus
The college is located 5 KM stone on Farukh Nagar - Haily Mandi Road, Gurgaon (Haryana). The college is well connected with bus service at intra-city level and with rail, road and air at intercity level. The college building is not just aesthetically built but is also very functional.

The campus has a well-developed library, workshops, laboratories and a computer center. In WCTM in addition to academics the students are encouraged to participate in co-curricular activities and sports.

Library Facilities
The central library system at WCTM provides their services to their students, staff and faculty members for updating their knowledge, awareness, supporting the research, and teaching learning activities.

One of the best-maintained, updated, air-conditioned multi-media library with a rich collection of over 14,000 text books, reference books by renowned and established authors, national and international journals and magazines to fulfill academic needs of students and faculty members.The knowledge base of the library is updated regularly in various format by way of adding new literature in the form of text books, reference books, reports, proceeding, abstracts and indexes, encyclopedias, data books, standard Journals and data base on CD-ROM. Apart from adding the new literature the basic literature is also procured for the new Programmes along with current one.

Learning Resources Centre offer aids like maps, CDs and other Audio Visual Facilities for the convenience of students. For all first year students, the library provides book bank facility College.

College is also having DELNET facilities where students can read online journals, books, articles etc.

Workshop
The college has a well-equipped workshop where students learn about basic manufacturing methods. Every student prepares jobs in all the shops with his/her own hands under the guidance of experienced faculty and technicians. The workshop has the following sections:

Physics Laboratory
The institute has a well-equipped spacious and ventilated Physics laboratory with state of the art instruments conforming with the latest technology which caters to the requirements of experiments to be performed. It has a proper dark room to conduct the prescribed experiments related to OPTICS.

Chemistry Laboratory
Chemistry lab has a capacity of 30 students to work at a time. The laboratory is equipped with all the necessary equipments and each student is provided with a separate gas burner, burette and pipette (for titration experiments) at his/her table.


Residential Accomodation
WCTM has spacious centrally AC, well-furnished hostels with boarding and lodging facilities. Hostel is so designed that it ensures privacy and homely atmosphere on one hand and promotes community living and fraternity on the other. There are fully furnished Double and triple seated rooms with separate portions for each student for comfortable living. The hostel mess provides special diets to the students on each Sunday and on special occasions.

Its a home away from home and has all the facilities required for comfortable living and academic pursuit.

Corprorate Resource Center
The interface of Academia and Corporate is necessary for the grooming and nurturing of the students. The teachers help the students with academic inputs and the Corporate helps to imbibe the needs of the changing corporate scenario. Keeping this very important aspect of an educational institution, we have a Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) headed by a Director, who has got rich corporate and academic experience. For any graduating student, placement is the culmination of all the hard work he has put. We deem it our duty to give our students a cutting edge to enable them to face the growing competition both at national and global level.

The CRC works all through the year towards generating placement and training opportunities for the students. Reputed industrial houses across the country visit our College regularly for the campus recruitment programs. The prime objective of the division is to facilitate its graduating students and industry by providing a meeting ground where the prospective employer companies can identify suitable candidates for placement in their organization. with view to our objective of 100% employment of our students and to assist students in securing best available jobs, the CRC follows two fold approaches:
* By getting the students to be industry prepared and
* Inviting companies to the campus and acting as in interface between students and industry by facilitating the selection process of potential employers.

We focus on charging and prepare them for the same. It helps students in planning their career path and prepares them to enter the world of industry. We believe in motivating candidates for a fruitful education career and encouraging them to be self – reliant and skilful. We also conduct pre-placement talk for students of all the batches as regular feature of their curriculum. This help the students develop skills develop skills like aptitude test, vocabulary test, spoken English, analytical reasoning group discussion skills and interview skills.

Facilities made available to the students through CRC
* Arranging campus interviews for final year students for their recruitments.
* Arranging guest lecturers of eminent personalities from industry for career counselling.
* Arranging workshops on different topics.
* Co-ordination for industrial visits for students.
* Co-ordinating with different departments for arranging technical seminars.
* Arranging personality development programs, including mock interviews, written tests and group discussions.

We maintain a comprehensive data bank of the students, which is updated on regular basis to ensure that all the eligible students get opportunities to appear for the interviews. Placement notices are displayed on college notice board and the college website. They are also intimated through their personal e-mails. We keep on track with the previous year databases. We identify and prepare a database of prospective employers.

Invitations are sent to the prospective companies along with all relevant information to participate in the campus recruitment. We also encourage students to participate in off campus drives. We send out students to the companies independently in case that particular company does not have a policy of Campus Recruitment. CRC looks after all arrangements to be made for the purpose of conducting campus interview including the Pre-Placement talk, the written tests, to the final interviews.

It is our effort to ensure that our students are ready to face the Campus Placement before they enter sixth semester. This is the time when campus placement starts. CRC plays the pivotal role at this stage, viewed from the angle of employability. All the requisite actions are initiated to create connectivity with reputed companies and industrial houses in order to enhance our students potential to confidently countenance the competitive job market.

Beyond The Curriculum
A number of voluntary clubs are functional in WCTM campus. It is a campus designed by students. These club run by students, provides excellent opportunities to pursue their interests in various activities. WCTM organizes its World Fest , Navrang, Sports meet, with events like quizzes, seminars, panel discussion symposiums, open house sessions and parties. Facilities for outdoor and indoors games like volleyball, basketball, football, cricket, billiards, squash, table tennis, badminton etc. Are available.

WCTM students learn to approach the world with confidence, diligence and ingenuity - a natural outcome of the curriculum and beyond the curriculum activities that inspire intellectual and creative growth.

The campus community is a rich mixture of life styles and personalities.

The Institute is also an enthusiastic participant in inter-institute festivals and competitions and organizes its annuals fest World Fest from Delhi and Gurgaon with great fanfare.

Problem Solving
To assist students outside the class and to remove their personnel doubts and problems we have developed a unique concept of Problem Solving. In this methodology faculty members are available after the college hours to solve the problems of an individual.

Progress Report
WCTM generates progress report card for each student showing the marks obtained by student in each subject and practical subjects during the academic year/semester in mid-term examinations. These progress report cards are also sent to students parents so that parents can also the performance of their child.

Counseling and Seminars
In todays challenging world, only subject knowledge is not sufficient for success in life. We conduct individual and group counseling and seminars to develop communication skill, competence and confidence in our students so that they can face I the world.

Unique System of Communication
Each faculty member is entrusted with a batch of 20 students. He acts as a friend, Philosopher, and a guide for his/her student so that they come up with their doubts. The personal interaction based on old Guru and Shishya tradition generates a healthy academic environment. He also maintains the communication with the guardians to aware them about the overall performance of the student.

Career Development Cell
The center provides all the career counseling and development services to the students, right from the 10+2 stage, so that they develop effective presentation, negotiation and marketability skills. The center provides advice and guidance for career canceling and occupational preparedness. An effective English for Business Communication course is also offered by the center along with some certification courses on entrepreneurship.

Special Assistance for English language and Personality Development
It has been observed that skills in spoken and written English are a prerequisite to technical education and placement. WCTM specially caters to this need by special program on communication skills in which a two months course shall be run for comprehending and speaking aspects. Similarly a Certificate will be offered for the soft skills and personality development. As a result even before the candidate is ready for placement, he is equipped with all the skills for a suitable marketability.
