Profile of the Principal Dr. Jyoti Sarin. R.N., R.M., M.N., PhD (Nursing) did her graduation (1985), post graduation (1995) with Pediatric Nursing specialization and PhD in Nursing (2005) from Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, University of Delhi. She was awarded President of India Silver Medal for academic excellence in B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing. President of India Gold Medal was awarded to her for academic excellence in Master of Nursing Programme. She was also awarded T.K.Adrenwala prize by Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Govt. of India for the best work done in research in Masters in Nursing Dissertation. During her 20 years of teaching experience at RAKCON, she was associated with teaching of B.Sc. (Hons) Nursing, Post-certificate course in Nursing Education and Administration and Master in Nursing. She is an active Member of TNAI and National Neonatology Forum. She had been the treasurer of TNAI, Delhi branch for a period of 8 years. She has significant published works to her credit. She has participated and presented papers in various workshops at State, National and International level. She was a member of the core group for development of Standards for Nursing Practice WHO IND HRD 031 project. She is a member of core group for development of Quality Assurance Model WHO project undertaken by Indian Nursing Council. She has participated in international practical training course on Quality Assurance in Health Care at Indonesia. She is a facilitator for conduct of Essential Newborn Nursing for small hospital in resource restricted countries at BIRDEM Dacca, Bangladesh and Gujarat state in India. She is also a member Inspector for Indian Nursing Council and Examiner for various Universities. She has been approved as a guide for PhD consortium of Indian Nursing Council.
