Rajasthan College third admission list on Monday

Jaipur: Rajasthan College is expected to come out with the third list of honours courses and fourth list of BA pass course on Monday. Jagdish Prasad, vice principal of the college informed that more than 450 students have deposited their fee by Saturday evening.He said that if no seat remains vacant in honours and pass course sections then the college administration will come out with the first admission list of the self finance course in the evening section.Meanwhile the admission process is almost complete in Maharajas College. The last date for depositing fee in Maharajas College was earlier extended till July 9. Professor RV Singh principal of the college informed that all seats in BSc biology group have been filled while 20 seats are still vacant in BSc mathematics section.The last list for these seats will be out on Sunday he said. The students of this section can deposit their fee by Tuesday said college sources. Admission process in the first section of BCA course has been completed while some seats in the second section are still vacant. All the students of BCA course have been given last chance to deposit their fee by Monday.

The BCA classes will also start from Monday. The classes of physics and mathematics section have already started in the Maharajas College. According to sources the college administration is planning to give admission in physics and mathematics section to all the students securing more than 60 per cent marks.

Students clash on Tonk Road, 3 seriously hurt

Jaipur: A minor dispute between the students of the Maharaja College and Gokhale hostel turned into a violent clash outside the Maharaja College early on Saturday leading to a huge traffic jam on the Tonk Road.Three students including general secretary of the Maharaja College were admitted to the SMS Hospital after they sustained serious injuries. The police detained three students of Gokhale hostel in association with the clash. Earlier during the day, students tried to block the Tonk Road. Police had to use force to disburse the mob.According to the police, the stern demonstration of students power was sparked by a fight of dominance over a basketball court. The dispute occurred after few students of Gokhale hostel asked students of the Maharaja College to vacate the basketball court, said Haushiar Singh, one of the investigating officers, posted at the Lal Kothi police station.After a heated discussion, the students of Gokhale hostel returned with other students later. There were reportedly around 50 students at the Maharaja College grounds, many of them brought bats and wickets. The students of the Maharaja students, however, escaped. Three of them — Krishna Kumar, Bhawani Singh and Arjun Rathore — received head and bone injuries.

Police have registered a case against the students of Gokhale hostel based on the statement made by one of the injured students, Krishna Kumar. While some students claimed the dispute started over a cricket match.Several hostel students are absconding since the incident. Three Gokhale hostel boys, Surendra Dudhi, Shubkaran and Gokul Gujjar were detained by the police in the evening. The three will be later taken for identification. Police are trying to find details of the remaining students.Earlier, after the incident, students also held demonstration at the SMS Hospital emergency ward where Maharaja College general secretary Rathore and other injured students were taken for treatment.Students of the Gokhale hostel have been unnecessarily harassing other students. Such activities need to be brought under control, said the students demonstrating outside SMS.
